Slush approached us to design identity, which conveys the brand's rebellious attitude.
Helsinki’s Slush conference, one of the largest startup events in Europe, is the premier event for Eurasian startups and tech talent to meet with top-tier international investors, executives and the media. Although Slush has grown from a 300-person event to become one of the leading events of its kind in the world, the philosophy behind it has remained the same: to help the next generation of great, world-conquering companies forward.
As the conference was growing larger and had moved to new area for 2014, Slush approached Kokoro & Moi to better convey the brand's rebellious attitude, and create graphic guidelines for all communications and marketing. This bold approach is now reflected in everything from the stencil logo by yours truly to the colossal productions on site created by Slush in-house design teams and various world-class creative houses.
In 2017, Slush brought together 20,000 attendees, 2,600 startups, 1500 investors, 600 journalists and 130 nationalities.
