The Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra

‘Towards a Sustainable Well-being Society’ introduces several principles of sustainable well-being that meet the key sustainability challenges of advanced societies.

The Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra is building a successful Finland for tomorrow's world. They are forward-thinking and anticipate social change and its effect on people. Their activities promote and stimulate new business models that aim for sustainable well-being. As a public fund, they report directly to the Finnish parliament.

‘Sustainable Future’ was a one-day seminar organised by Sitra and held in Helsinki in spring 2013. The event was built around the discussion paper released the same day, ‘Towards a Sustainable Well-being Society’, which is an attempt to lay down a path toward a more sustainable society. It introduces several principles of sustainable well-being that meet the key sustainability challenges of advanced societies. Taken together, these principles form a vision of a society based on sustainable well-being. In addition, the paper analyses the changing role of government in the transition towards sustainability.

Kokoro & Moi is responsible for the visual identity, concept and graphic design of the publication, event and promotional booklet, which sums up the key messages and strategic thinking behind the paper. Various graphs were designed to visualise the challenges and visions brought out in the paper.
